Wednesday Wishlist :: Ridiculously Cute Animal Sweaters

I find most vintage animal sweaters irresistibly cute! I think they appeal to the little girl in me. There was one I owned when I was about 10 or 11 or so and it had a ton of white sheep with a black sheep in the middle. How I loved that cozy sweater with all of my heart. It was red with puff sleeves too! Years later I found a similar one and ended up selling it on Ebay. It was too big for me at the time, but darn! I think that I should've held onto it, as it would probably fit now.

Below are some of my current favorites that you can find on etsy. Which one do you like the most? The kitty cat pullover is calling out my name! Also really wish I could find a peacock sweater in my size. . . being a vintage seller and buyer I just know I'll come across it someday. ;)

Wednesday Wishlist :: The Cardigan Sweater

The cardigan sweater -- the prettiest way to keep warm this fall! I've got a few of them, but plan on buying just a few more because I'd love to experiment with more colors in my wardrobe for this season. Here are some of my favorites below. (All vintage, of course!)

This fuzzy 50's pink grapefruit-colored sweater below combined with a little pencil skirt, tights and heels would make the perfect bombshell outfit.

Wednesday Wishlist :: A Double-Breasted Coat in Cream

Lately I've been looking online and in some of my favorite brick and mortar vintage boutiques for the perfect vintage winter coat. I've decided that I want a cream-colored double-breasted coat because in one of my searches I came upon these few below and they have me convinced! I almost always buy dark colors to wear - sadly and simply because I know that I am accident prone and tend to get stains on any light item I ever try to incorporate into my wardrobe. boo! Any of you have this happen to you often?

My favorite choice
of all is a little out of my price range, but I thought about asking my boyfriend to go halfsies with me on it.
(maybe this could be my birthday gift?)
Something about that dollar amount tells me he might not agree.

Below are a few a little less expensive. Gorgeous, aren't they?

Wednesday Wishlist :: High Waisted Pants for Fall 2010

Truth be told, though I've bought many pretty vintage items online, I've never purchased a pair of pants via the net. I've always been too afraid of the pants not working out for my body/fitting right if I don't actually get to try them on. You too? For some reason though, I've been suddenly coming across these amazing pairs of pants that I feel like I may need to break down and purchase a few pair for myself for this Autumn season, and just cross my fingers that they'll look good.

These are some of my current faves below. I am, as probably aforementioned on many posts, a huge fan of the high waist. I love how it elongates the legs and defines the waist as well. Some of these vintage pairs styled below do such a fine job of making menswear look feminine. Definitely a wish list item for Fall 2010!

Prink Studio
These are, hands down, my fave! They are vintage YSL, and wool.
I love the waist buttons!

Bustown Modern
How to make menswear look fabulous!

Wicked Plum
The rolled cuffs probably wouldn't work for me, but they definitely do for this model. Love the color of this pair for fall.

The Mint Mall
A bit on the tighter side, but the color is fantastic, and imagine these paired with some tall boots. *perfect combination*

Funkin Junkie
Buttery soft vintage leather in black, could work with so many outfits.

Hollywood *Rose* Vintage
These look so classic, I love that they're belted and tapered.

Wednesday Wishlist :: Dramatic Ruffles!

Lately, I've been loving the drama of huge ruffles! These vintage pieces below especially, have been playing with the idea of flirting with my wallet. I'm not sure I could pull off many of these pieces though, as I possess a very petite frame, and I feel like it would just be too much for my little body. So I feel kinda jealous of a girl who can make these oh-so-over-the-top pieces work for her! That first piece is my favorite of all, isn't it fantastic? I love that it looks so comfy too. If you take a peek, wait till you see the back!

Wednesday Wishlist :: The Luxurious SHEER SILK Dress

These are the kind of dresses dreams are made of.
Well, my dreams anyway.
Nothing makes my heart beat like finding a beautiful sheer silk dress.
Put me in a silk dress and I'm a guaranteed happy woman for the rest of the day. Silk chiffon is light as air, making it so incredibly comfortable to wear. Moreover, this luxurious fabric, especially when created into a perfectly-executed piece of clothing, is an instant means to elegance.

These are my current etsy faves below.
You're not gonna believe the label name on that first one.

Swoon away, dolls!

Wednesday Wishlist -- The Ruffled White Blouse

The white blouse: the perfect staple for the summer season because it's light, beautiful, feminine, and goes with nearly everything. I chose to feature the ruffled styles, inspired by the Bettina blouse post earlier.

Just be careful in your pretty white shirt, if you're anything like me you'll need to be carrying around a stain remover stick in your purse to have on hand at any given moment.
Stains love me, especially when I'm wearing white.

Below are my top Etsy faves!

Wednesday Wishlist :: The Yellow Dress

I LOVE the color yellow for this time of year.
It is just such a cheerful and pretty shade, seems almost energizing.
This bright hue is always quite popular for summer parties like weddings and such too.

From lemon and saffron to buttercup and marigold, these lovely yellow dresses on Etsy are currently taking up pages in my favorites.
Aren't they beautiful?
