The Fishtail Braid
I'm missing my long hair today. Not that my hair is too short to try this style out, but even when I had long hair I never wore it this way. I've always wanted to try it though. Isn't it pretty? May attempt it today on my shoulder length cut, we'll see. If you're interested too, there are plenty of tutorials on youtube! Post pics if you do, girls, and I will too. :)

Happy Birthday, Foodcake!
Just had to send out a special "Happy Birthday!" to one of my dearest friends ANGELA. I met Angie my freshman year of college and I always credit her to having a very positive effect on the way I think and view life. You know those kind of friends? They're the best! She even bought me this book one year for my birthday and it was such an eye-opening book to work through. She is also responsible for introducing me to one of my favorite bands of all time, The Squirrel Nut Zippers!
Many sparkling great moments have been had with this funny, creative girl! I LOVE her, dearly. And though many, MANY miles separate us. . . (she now lives in Spain with her husband) I think about her often. (She's basically the #1 reason why I'm setting up Skype soon!)
oh, and in college I called her "Angela Foodcake" hence the title of this post. :)

TERTIUM NON DATA
Aren't these pieces of jewelry GORGEOUS? I came upon them recently during my early Sunday morning guilt-free stumbling time. Would you believe me if I told you they're made from recycled PET plastic bottles? I could hardly believe it either. I LOVE the bright, transparent colors, and detailed delicate looking petals.
The woman who makes them, GULNUR OZDAGLAR GUVENC, also happens to be an Etsy shop owner. Along with lovely jewelry, she creates the coolest looking bowls, and unique buttons as well. So happy I came upon this shop because I was wondering what to get for my mom for Mother's Day!
Find out more about the artist on her website, and see more of her available-for-purchase items in her etsy shop.
