Novelty Print of the Day -- 1970s MUCHA PRINT Art Nouveau Blouse

What a beautiful blouse! I only recently became familiar with the art of Alphonse Mucha, and fell in love with it instantly.

Most of the women in his paintings look like goddesses from some far away make believe world. They are always clothed in these gorgeous lush ensembles, and usually surrounded by flowers of some kind.

Wouldn't it be wonderful to be painted in this way someday?
A gal can dream. ;)

A Mix of New Arrivals

Just a little mix of dresses added to the shop this week.
My fave is probably the Vibrant Floral Silk dress, it's NWT Oscar De La Renta. Love the bold flowers on that beauty. Not to mention silk is my favorite material in the world!

TUPPERLIGHTS :: Colorful & Unique Lighting

A couple of my friends on Etsy sell vintage housewares and upcycled items in their cute little shop BootsnGus. Recently, one of them started making these super cool lights made out of vintage Tupperware of all things!
He calls them "Tupperlights".
I recently just put in my order for a purple or pink one.

Aren't they so mod and colorful? Love 'em!!

Check out more of these bright treasures and vintage housewares in their shop here.

Novelty Print of the Day -- 1970s LOVERS PHOTO T-shirt

Just like me. . .they long to be . . . close to you

How about this for novelty prints?
I've always loved photographic prints on clothes.
This kitschy romantic tee is kinda funny, but a little sweet too.
I like the light coming in through the tree in the background.

Lovey Dovey on a little t-shirt.

oh, and the quoted song is none other than this little tune by the Carpenters. (always been a fave)

The story of Karen Carpenter is such a sad one, but we'll talk about that later. . .

Pink Lemonade

One of my favorite summer time beverages inspires today's shop update!
:)

And if you yourself get a little hankerin'. . . here's the recipe, courtesy of ehow.com:

Ingredients

1 1/4 cup sugar (if using unsweetened cranberry juice, 1 cup if using sweetened)
4 cups water (divided)
1 cup cranberry juice
1 cup lemon juice
* * *

1. Make a "simple syrup" by heating sugar and 1 cup of the water in a small saucepan until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat.

2. Stir together the remaining water, cranberry juice, lemon juice and simple syrup. Make adjustments to taste. Chill for an hour, or add ice to cool.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
Serves 6.

Happy Tuesday to you! It's going to be a very short week.
Enjoy a few new listings in the shop!
XOXO
