When I found out our local museum was featuring the work of Lisa Anne Auerbach, I couldn't wait to make a visit. This fierce knitter certainly has a knack for making a strong (and shocking to some) fashion statement. . . with warm and cozy slogan sweaters! I love the irony. Each sweater also had a matching skirt. Hope you enjoy these snapshots I took of a few of her creations. Disclaimer: These aren't necessarily my political views, however this gal gets points in my book just for being so creatively brave.
Time is running out on this AMAZING dress for sale by Timeless Vixen on Ebay. I've been a fan of Timeless Vixen for years. She ALWAYS carries the most stunning and beautiful 50's and 60's dresses. Today's novelty print of the day comes to you from Etsy seller swaneegrace. Have you ever seen so many elephants on one little dress? I love the pointy collar and contrasting colors. Suzy Perette label. CUTE!
I'm so happy to start bringing fall colors into the shop. A few days ago my friend and I took a country drive and we saw some leaves already beginning to change color. Fall is one of my favorite times of the year in the mitten, and not just for the cooler weather and pretty earth tones, but also because (between you and me) I can't wait to have that first sip of fresh apple cider at my favorite local cider mill. Donuts on the side too, thank you! ;) Mmmm!

In light of Woodstock's recent 40th anniversary, I wanted to celebrate the spirit of bohemian style. While at the library recently, I stumbled upon this picture-packed colorful book titled HIPPIE by Barry Miles. It had a special section just for the famous musical festival we've all come to know as one of the most unforgettable moments in music history.
Here are a few images from the book to inspire you, as well as some amazing Etsy finds that capture this free-spirit essence so well. Enjoy!

I know I featured something similar to this in the recent past, but I just had to share this absolutely adorable skirt I found on Etsy today! For sale by MaidenRaptureVintage. These Cocker Spaniels are looking so gentle and sweet on this little 50's gingham skirt. Dog lovers are you smiling? I am. :)
See you tomorrow with another unique novelty print! x
My jaw literally dropped when I found this dress on Etsy! Not only because I delight in anything that has to do with peacocks, but also because everything about this dress is perfect to me. The length, the dark background with floral detail, the feminine shape, and of course that stunning and colorful print! It's also signed by Maurice, an Italian designer label. Beauteous!
If you're like me and have a tiny obsession with all peacock-themed items, definitely check out Ten Things on Etsy. My current favorites are these lovely accessories.
I'm so happy to feature prints this week, have been scouring online all weekend. Hope you enjoy.
When we think of the "Marilyn Dress" we usually visualize something like the dress below. The image of the white halter dress with the plunging neckline and flirtatious flowing skirt instantly comes to mind.
This one currently for sale by timelesstyles on Etsy.
Though I love the classic version of the dress, as you all know I'm CRAZY about prints and recently discovered in V magazine a new take on the "Marilyn Dress" by Dolce & Gabbana. They've gone and put this iconic bombshell's face on several items from their Fall/Winter 2009 line, including: Mini skirts, silky tops & all kinds of dress shapes. Isn't it exciting?
And, I know it's not time for featuring my daily novelty print item, but I wanted to share this cute little mini dress I found on Etsy for sale by RetroWear.
Who doesn't love Marilyn Monroe? She's now even more unforgettable with these beautiful clothes! Go ahead, be inspired. xo
