Pretty Leaves

Just thinking yesterday about gathering some pretty fall leaves with my son soon, especially now that they are covering our backyard. Then I stumbled upon these pretty leaves this morning and had to share. Aren't they neat?

By Spanish artist Lorenzo Duran. I wonder how long they take to create.

Blue Jean Artist DENIMU

Recently stumbled upon the work of the artist known as DENIMU.
I enjoyed reading his artist statement. Aren't these pieces beautiful? I love textured collage work, especially when the upcycling of clothing is involved. I want to contact him to send him my old pairs of jeans for use in his future projects!

Let the Colors Fall

I just HAD to share this video I viewed on Tawnya's blog today. I loved watching it this morning with tea in hand. Goodness, this is the kind of thing that makes me feel like I'm starving for more creativity in my life. Hope you enjoy the many falling colors as much as I did, it's truly entrancing!

I want to dress how she is painted

Camila do Rosário's illustrations are some of the prettiest I've ever seen. This one below especially, immediately attracted my eyes. I wonder if the artist was inspired by Frida Kahlo for this particular piece, the hair made me think so.  I LOVE the outfit - the colors, the flowers and feathers, the details on the blouse. This outfit would be my favorite if it were a part of my closet.

View the rest of the artist's work here on her flickr page.
