It was so very nice to get away for a while.
The powerful presence of the mountains made me not want to leave.
Stay with me, sunshiny perfect moments. . .
So pretty it can bring one to tears!
Celebrity sighting at King's Highway restaurant on Palm Canyon Drive. Guess who? ;)
Funniest picture taken!
Looooooooooooove.
My boyfriend's babies that he brought back from the Moorten Botanical Gardens.
The song immediately started playing when I saw this hotel!
Loved the brightly colored modern look in the place we stayed.
While at the botanical gardens, I got too close to a cactus taking pics on macro setting and this is what happened! Don't worry, I was laughing, not crying.
Inside the cacti green house.
My sis was in town the same time we were, was nice to meet up for a bit, she'd just bought those pretty earrings.
One of the highlights of the trip, picking fresh citrus off of trees just outside. I mean, COME ON! Paradise! :)
I posted many more pics on Flickr, but these were some of the highlights for me. I took SO many scenic photos, I couldn't believe it when I counted them all. Isn't it nice to get out of town for a while? The wedding we attended was also lovely as ever! I ended up finding out that it was the same place Christina Applegate was married!
This trip made me realize I probably won't be a mitten girl forever. The sunshine, fresh fruit just out the doorstep, warmth, and those breathtaking mountains have convinced me that I need to be in a warmer, sunnier climate for my overall happiness. No immediate plans as of yet, but I'm starting to really think about it.
On another note, I missed you blogger and twitter friends! Cannot believe I was without the internet for 5 days. I did manage to tweet from my little phone here and there, but that's about it. I was thrilled to see my son after over a week yesterday, and I'm feeling completely refreshed. Now it's time to return to routine, and get BACK TO WORK! Expect a shop update soon. :)

ReplyDeletei love the fir's good tst picture. it's good there are still people still inlove that it actually shines.
ReplyDeleteI can *totally* see you as a California girl. Just looking at all those sunshiny photos--it's kind of the anti-Michigan. (And that is coming from someone who loves the Mitten's gray skies.) You should visit Colorado sometime too, if you haven't already. Pretty mountains, lots of sunshine.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fabulous trip, and you look so cute in that dress you wore to the botanical gardens!
Yay, you knew it, Smashingbird! :)
ReplyDeleteKaren, Colorado ranks as one of my top spaces on the planet!
Thanks for the compliment on the dress, gals, it was a gift to my aunt from my Gram, and handed down to me, never ever getting rid of it, it means so much.
