We had always remained nice to each other throughout high school, but lost touch after graduation.
14 years later, we find out we live about 20 minutes away from each other and decide to go out on the town. I wasn't sure what to expect, and although I was a little nervous, I'm so glad I took the little risk to answer the question,
"hmm, what will this be like?"
because I ended up having such a great time!

Out on the town:
Nice photo background, I thought.
Introduced him to one of my favorite little hangouts . . .
where you can have your beer served in a boot if you'd like ;)
Any dancing boy is cool in my book.
. . . probably because I love to dance too!
We even inspired others to shake their groove things!
Don't you just love jukebox joints?
They're my FAVORITE.
14 years later, who knew?
The best part of the night was laughing so hard my tummy hurt.
I love those kind of laughs!
There are boyfriends and there are boy friends and
I'm starting to realize at this point in my life I
enjoy seeking out the latter of the two. ;)
Next time we plan to try karaoke, can't wait!
looks like you had a fun nite...one of my ex-boyfriends is one of my dearest friends...we just clashed as a couple...but we had so much in common...he is a much better boy friend then boyfriend...which then probably makes me a better girl friend then girlfriend to him =) great post!
ReplyDeleteAwww what a sweet story. :) It's great to reconnect (well, sometimes) with friends you grew up with. Looks like you two had a fab night... and how adorable that he loves to shake his groove thing! Cuuuuuutie patoooooties!! Happy Weekend!!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments girls! Sometimes great friendships can make wonderful relationships, only time can tell.
