My Favorite Clothes--Day 4 of 7.

I'm cheating a little. This dress was one of my faves LAST YEAR, and shortly after these pics were taken, the dress sold. Loved wearing it so much in the summer though! It was semi-sheer with cascading flowers, undeniably feminine.

That pink belt is one of my most loved belts of all time, as well. I have a new favorite dress that I often pair it with and it is very similar to this one. It's so lovely, can't wait till I can share it with you gals! Stay tuned.

I hope everyone is savoring their summer. Today I realized that being able to even just sit and read outside on a blanket is such a glorious blessing! I want to put these moments in my pocket and bring them back in mid December. ♥♥

My Favorite Clothes--Day 3 of 7.

Okay, these are hands down my favorite jeans. When I found them they were DEADSTOCK with tags. They're 80's vintage Gitano high waisted jeans and they're super dark denim, after tons of washes too! To put the cherry on top of THAT, they're ridiculously comfortable, 100% cotton! I seriously wear these about 3 times a week! (you can even ask my friend Deargolden, because I think I was wearing them nearly every single time we've seen each other!)


The puff sleeve polka dot top isn't vintage, but I found it and fell in love immediately because it's so girly and I knew it would fit to a t!

Paired the outfit with a cute little shiny red bow belt I bought off of etsy from MySassyLassy and some strappy wedge heels I bought at the mall years ago.



Couldn't decide if the jeans looked better down or rolled up? hmmm...
There's a little bit of a rockabilly feel to this outfit and I LOVE IT!

My Favorite Clothes -- Day 2 of 7

This is the 2nd Mexican dress from the package from my aunt. {Yesterday's blogpost} I love it! So colorful and pretty, and the softest comfortable cotton to boot. I feel like being home when I'm wearing this dress.


Paired it with my 60's metallic slides.


This is Grandma LoLa. I can only hope to be as kind and graceful as she ALWAYS was, not to mention a most AMAZING cook! Always encouraging, Grandma often complimented me on my style, as I did her. I hope she knew how much of an influence she had on me. :) Such a classic beauty she was!

My Favorite Clothes -- Day 1 of 7

Earlier in the spring I received a package from my eldest Aunt with a beautifully written note inside. This aunt was a BOMBSHELL back in the 60's. Aware of my love for vintage clothing, she had sent me three dresses she used to wear. One was a 60's navy blue wet look mini dress, and the other two were Mexican dresses that my late Grandmother had bought for her long ago. The package had made me cry. . . I was very close to mi Abuelita and she was such a beautiful, classy, and stylish woman. (In fact, LoLa was her nickname, and the shop is named after her) ;)

Such a sweet and thoughful gesture of my aunt! I'm incredibly grateful. This aqua blue Mexican dress is one of those pieces of clothing I will ALWAYS hold on to! I've already worn it so many times.

It's gauze with lovely lace trim on the pockets and floral embroidery on the neckline and in front.

I love pairing it with a skinny belt and one of my favorite pairs of shoes at the moment. Gold metallic flats!




I want to post the other Mexican dress tomorrow. It will be very obvious during this week how much the Mexican & Spanish side of me has influenced my style! :)
