I've always found a comfort in solitude, but I have to admit sometimes when the loneliness sets in, it can be hard to bear.

Novelty Print of the Day -- Vintage Vested Gentress YAK PRINT Skirt

If you're a Vested Gentress fan, then you can probably be able to tell immediately that this is a cute little item with their label attached. Yes indeed, the details fit the name: silly, playful, and usually with an animal or two as the star of the garment. In this case it's the happy YAK, and in pink to boot!

Novelty Print of the Day -- 70's Vintage DIVE DINER MENU Dress

This is SO cute to me. Being a lover of dive diner food, I can completely appreciate this dress! As a matter of fact, we have a local 24 hour-a-day dive diner just a few minutes from where I live, and my favorite thing to eat after a night out on the town is called "hippie hash". It's hash browns with tons of veggies on top, sprinkled with feta cheese. Hits the spot every time late night hunger hits, I'm tellin' ya!

Novelty Print(S) of the Day -- vintage SIGNED DESIGNER DRESSES from Things of Splendor

As I was scouring the endless variety of novelty prints in cyberspace this morning to decide which one to feature for today's post, I came across ebay shop "Things of Splendor". I have been looking at these dresses for nearly 2 hours already! They are fully responsible for taking my breath away this morning!

You were the sweetest thing that I ever knew

Annie Lennox and John Malkovich people! I have always loved the dramatic and passionate performance of the leading lady of the Eurythmics in this video. Also starring (yes that is him!) Hugh Laurie of HOUSE. This video is so visually rich as you'll see; just chock full of luxurious lace and velvet costumes, along with powdery pale faces and Victorian wigs. Watch the story that unfolds and see if you think the end is real or just her imagination. The part when Annie's character makes a scene playing tug-o-war for John with his new bride is the BEST!

Looks like Texas is getting a ton of exposure on this little cutie of a dress!
