By all these lovely tokens

I know it may be hard to appreciate the cuteness of these warmer clothes in today's shop update, especially if you live anywhere near the mitten where I am and are taking in this 90+ degree weather we've been having for the last few days. BUT, September is upon us, darlings. . . and as if overnight we'll be tweeting about how we're enjoying the smells and sights of Autumn too too soon.

Happy September TOMORROW, can you even believe it?!

XO

"By all these lovely tokens
September days are here,
With summer’s best of weather
And autumn’s best of cheer."
- Helen Hunt Jackson, September, 1830-1885

Lacey Melange

Just a little sneak preview of what's coming to the shop before the week is up. I am always wondering what kind of "feel" my shop has and often think it lacks that strong definite signature. What I do know though, is that I always love what I put in my shop, or else it would never have made its way there in the first place. Is that a given? I know it's pretty vague, but it's true. Looking at these pieces, a few things are obvious: I like bows and lace, feminine silhouettes most definitely, and always (regular blog readers surely know this one) ALWAYS novelty prints.
Just to name a few. ;)

I *do* hope the items I put in the shop somehow or another say "Lola Vintage".
What do you think?

Keep an eye out for these and more items this week in the shop!

These Shoes with These Dresses

I find myself recently wanting to add more shoes to the shop, because it is all too often I pass up a fine vintage pair during my shopping trips. I think it's because I love dresses so much more than anything else, that everything that is not a dress gets kinda booted to the side. (pun intended) ;)

Right now there are only 6 pairs of shoes in the shop. My goal is to have at least 20 by the end of next week. Possible? You betcha! Until then, enjoy this shop update with the current ones paired with what I think would be the best dress in the shop for an outfit.

What do you think? Did I put them together well, or no?

HAPPY FRIDAY, MY FRIENDS!

Blue Jean Baby

I'm lovin' the denim looks for fall that I've been seeing all over the place
in my favorite fashion mags.
Is there really anything that DOESN'T go with jean?
These high waist jean shorts were just added
earlier this week to the shop.

My friend Amy over at WildfellHallVintage is telling me I should keep 'em.
I'm very tempted. At any rate, if you don't see them in the shop later on today, you'll know why.

How do you like to spruce up your denim? I adore that first runway pic below (Ralph Lauren) with the ruffled top underneath the overalls and the hat. So CUTE.

Two by Two

Hello and enjoy today's shop update, and my figuring out how to place photos side by side here in blogger. ;)

I really like the way these items look beside each other, as if they might be found in the same closet perhaps.

Don't forget, I'm MOVING soon, and almost the ENTIRE SHOP is ON SALE!

*Also, combined shipping is always available for multiple purchases.*

Thanks to you who have already helped me lighten my load, I really appreciate it, and I hope you love your items!

XOXO

Take a girl like that and put her in a natural setting

Here's a little Friday shop update of red, white, and black. I'm very guilty of putting probably way too much of my favorite 3 colors in the shop.

Enjoy your weekend, dear blogger friends. ♥

Oh, and the title of this post comes from the fun song below!

Listening to: Beethoven (I love to listen to) by the Eurythmics.
This melodramatic performance by Annie Lennox is fabulous, love her!
