Pom Poms & Plaid

Made it a point to incorporate some red in today's outfit in light of World Aids Day.

Really loving hats right now. It seems like going outside without one these days
makes me feel like I'm freezing. This vintage virgin wool pom pom hat is a definite cold weather favorite. I also like it with the outfit because it matches the little white blouse under the sweater. :)

I've had this little black pointelle knit sweater since high school. It's so versatile, I cannot imagine it not in my wardrobe.

Not so sure if the black lace tights go with the plaid skirt, but I couldn't find my solid black tights, so these ones had to suffice.

Aren't Pom Poms adorable? I usually get compliments on this hat when I wear it out and that makes me :)!

Swirls and Spots, Stripes and Dots

The most recent shop update before this one featured the pretty solid colors that are currently brightening up the shop. I thought the other items needed some attention too! Stripes, polka dots, and florals are consistently finding their way into the shop every week! I'm especially fond of the swirly mod sweater. :)

Hope your weekend was fabulous!
I was recently tagged by a super cool fellow blogger and I'm excited to post about it later today . . . SO stay tuned, YOU may just be the next one tagged!

Which boots and which pink?

In my opinion today's outfit would have been completely boring without a little bit of PINK. I was also a little undecided about which boots to choose from between the little black pixie boots...

... or the fuzzy warm knee high boots I got from Payless years ago. What do you think?

Well, I decided on the ones I always pick. :D I'll need to get some exactly like these soon. I've had them for years and they're slowly wearing out on me. They're so cute though!

I knew I wanted a hint of pink, but instead of the belt I decided on this cute
little vintage magenta bow hat I recently purchased. It's felted wool and keeps me SO warm. By the way, did you know that when you wear a hat it keeps in a ton of your body heat? I love cute things that are completely practical too. :)

The bow is really supposed to be worn in the back, but I think it looks cute both ways.

Thanksgiving Dinner Dress-Up

I had a chuckle when a friend of mine recently asked "What are your Thanksgiving outfit plans?" That's how we vintage lovers speak. ;) I began browsing the virtual racks for ideas. . .

I want to be festive, and wear some seasonal, earth tone colors. Very much loving these items on Etsy right now for the feast-fabulous holiday that is only one week away from today! But I have to remember, Thanksgiving is not all about the pretty clothes one wears to dinner! So here are a few things I'm completely grateful for, always.

1. My health and the health of my family and friends.
2. My son. He is the sunshine of my days, every. single. day.
3. A new romance is a brewin', & I haven't been this smiley in a while, I love this feeling. :)
4. New cooking experiments that are turning out NOT SO BAD actually.
5. Being inspired by my blogger friends DAILY, that's YOU, and you and you and you. (just to name a few) ;) It's just so wonderful to know that there exists so many kindred spirits in the world... you know?

xoxo

Ever fallen in love with a pair of boots before? That's what happened when I came across these.

I think I would have already snatched this up for Thanksgiving, but it is too big for me. Those darling little leaves are so festive! (would look so cute with a long sleeve top underneath, maybe even the one at the top of this blogpost) ;)
