Teeny Tiny COMBINED Update.

I miss you, my blog and twitter friends! I also miss posting (and especially seeking) my favorite novelty prints. I'm quite sorry I've been MIA this week. I've been working a ton and have also been a little stressed out because I have three weddings to attend this month! The good news is that one was held this past weekend and so I only have TWO more to go.

I wanted to post what I wore to the first wedding because I LOVE this skirt so so so much and was never able to post it this summer. Isn't it beautiful? I found it on ebay years ago. It's one of those things that I could never ever sell.

This is just a pic of a boy I met that night. Thought he was absolutely adorable and in this picture I was giving him fashion advice. heehe. I told him to turn his coat around so he could show the red plaid on the other side. Afterward, he received a few compliments on his plaid coat. :) (totally made my night.)

I hope to be back into somewhat of a normal schedule next week, but also wanted to share my current favorite item in the shop.

These adorable SAILOR JEANS! If they fit me, I'd be keeping them, but they're just a tad too big. Aren't they so cute, though?

Last but not least, WHIP-IT comes out TONIGHT, ladies and gents! You'll see me in this movie, but you gotta pay attention, it's pretty fast!
It's a super cute movie and I hope you enjoy it. It was an honor being Ellen Page's stand in last summer during filming, and being a hot tamale too. ;) Click here to see more of my pics from the set!

Also, I thought I might take this time to say that being in that movie made me realize how much attention the celebrities get and how little attention everyone behind the scenes actually gets. So these photos are in celebration of THOSE PEOPLE, and here are some of my favorites. :)

Barbara, hair stylist

Stephanie, make-up

Amy, Props

Gordon, set painter. Love this sweet man!

Stephen, locations manager, and one of my favorite people on the set!

Phil, (with glasses) locations assistant, and 2 other assistants

Hardworking cast & crew, moments after last Michigan scene, Sept 13, 2008

Francesca & Erin, Detroit Stand-ins for Marcia Gay Harden & Alia Shawkat

Autumn, Gracie, Gerard, Birch Run stand-ins

Production assistants, Darrel & Adam

Just thought these dedicated people deserved to have some attention too. What an amazing experience it was watching all of them work together to create what ends up being an hour and a half movie for our entertainment!

A fantastic weekend to all of you!
xoxo

Novelty Print of the Day -- SAIL AWAY to the Beach House 70's Top

ZooStew on Etsy currently has this gorgeous scenic print 70's top available for sale. I love the colorful pattern of dots, and the sailboats and beach houses too. The flying seagulls are my favorite thing about this vintage shirt, though.

Novelty Print of the Day -- Lombard & Gable Movie Star Picture Top

As the Etsy listing suggests, movie stars Carole Lombard & Clark Gable appear to be in some romantic scene from the silver screen on this 70's vintage top. What do you think, same people or uncanny resemblance? ;)
Currently for sale by designarchives.

Red, White & Black :: Today's Outfit.

You're looking at one of my favorite skirts, 80's B/W houndstooth pencil skirt.
I love pencil shaped skirts so much, and find them very figure flattering.
Paired it with a v-neck red 70's top, and a black bow belt that actually belongs to Deargolden since I promised it to her months ago! (I've got to get that to you already!)
Had to show off the shoes too because I'm just head over heels about bows.
The red purse may be a little too much, though.
What do you think?

**All items thrifted, except the purse, which my friend gave me...but wait, she probably thrifted that.** :)

I love the slit in the back of the skirt. Sexy, but not too much. ;) Just the way I like it.
