I loved dressing up when I was a little girl. I recently found this picture taken with my brothers in which I'm wearing one of my favorite dresses from back then. Oh, how I remember church Sundays in that plaid dress and those black mary janes!
Plaid is always one of my top choices for fall, and I found this vintage Pendleton wool blazer recently while thrifting. I love it SO much and have been pairing it with almost everything lately. How great is it to find something that fits like it was made for you, and in your favorite color, to boot? Also, because it's wool, it keeps me so very warm too. ♥
I realized lately that there's something about blazer jackets that makes me feel well "put together". Does that make sense? As crazy as it sounds, I feel more organized when I am wearing one.
I've never considered myself much of a materialistic person, but it's so easy to love your clothes sometimes, because some of them love you right back. :)

ReplyDeleteyou could tell back then you were going to be a beauty!
ReplyDeleteThank you, FabFinds. I think I'd like to find myself another pair of shiny mary janes soon.
ReplyDeleteSara, I love how I'm finding that out as I go along. Kinda odd how it works, but so true. . .
Kerri, XO. You sure know how to put a smile on a gal's face. :)
that is *such* a cute photo of you--love the plaid dress and red socks with your mary janes. :) i also love the pendleton blazer paired with the belt--great plaid!
ReplyDeleteSo adorable! Plaid is clearly a classic.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I don't think I ever had black patent mary janes (I'll have to look/ask). Most of my clothes were hand-me-downs from my sisters and they were far more into pastels...
